15 Weeks To Go

My first completed project.
Just to be clear, I mean first baby project -- for my baby.

For all of you people out there that like multiples of five you only have two more updates after this one to enjoy fully. Personally, I prefer multiples of four. I'm not sure why, it probably has something to do with my obsession with cooking.

Most of the things I knit are also in multiples of four. Just so you know. Meaning that there are that many stitches in a row. Not that I knit sets of four things. But I might. I've just never counted....

Milestones

  • The baby is now the size of an eggplant. [S]he's 13-1/2 inches long and weighs about 1-1/2 pounds.
  • Swamp People series finale. OK, that' really doesn't have anything directly to do with the baby, but in five years we will look back and say "Do you remember that when I was pregnant with (insert gender appropriate name here) that we watched Swamp People?" like the way we say "Do you remember that we ate watermelon almost every night when I was pregnant with L?".
  • I learned that Jeeping is not an enjoyable activity for six-month pregnant women. At least not this one.
  • I took (and presumably passed) the Glucose Screening Test. I say "presumably" because they only call if you don't pass. They also checked me again for anemia and no word on that either. No news is good news.
  • Blood vessels are formed in the lungs and the baby's nostrils began to open.
  • My body exchanges six gallons of amniotic fluid a day.

Mums the Word said...

I am so excited about our granddaughter/s. If they turn out to be grandson/s, that is OK too. Enjoyed our trip to see Erin, Klay and Baby James yesterday. It was a bonus to see Isaac, Grandma and Emmie. Love you, Mama
