13 Weeks To Go

Rosemary grows in the snow, and in the
115 degree heat with no rain for weeks.
I had a fairly productive week. I started the birds for the mobile and finished another hat.

I'll just head right into the list this week, there seems to be a lot happening.

Milestones
  • I am now in the third trimester (according to some sources --some say that it starts next week). I think I'll have three pieces of dark chocolate to celebrate. However I'm measuring, I only have three months to go so it works either way.
  • The baby is about the size of a head of cauliflower. Oddly, that is exactly what it feels like when I roll over. I little bowling ball in my belly.
  • His/Her eyes are open, as well as nasal passages and [s]he can practice breathing.
  • I'm grumpy, like, all the time. I hear myself saying things; I have no control over them.
  • I have reached the "Increased boredom and weariness with the pregnancy, the beginning of anxiousness for it to be over" part that it mentions in my book. I have nothing remotely funny to comment on this phenomenon.
  • I got asked if I was pregnant at church Sunday. I can't deny it at this point, so I just told him he better be careful who he asks that.
  • T said I look like I swallowed a basketball. Oh yes, he did. It was included in the backhanded compliment that I could still get in the car and buckled faster than our soon to be 6-year-old. I laughed. It does look like I swallowed a basketball.

I have now finished my three pieces of chocolate. I think it's time for a nap or maybe work on a hat for a friend.

I loved this post. I love the basketball look on pregnant women. I love that this post showed up on my dashboard right next to a post entitled "Home Stretch." Really.
