14 Weeks To Go

The doe that had been so cautious earlier this summer has finally
begun introducing her little ones to the wonders of our back yard. 

This is my last week of the second trimester. If I remember correctly, this is the point where time slows down to a crawl.

School starts in a couple of weeks. I hope that keeps us busy enough distracted from the slowness. 

We get a little more done on the nursery everyday. The pieces are starting to fit into place. Moving and switching rooms is about as fun as toenail surgery. 

I still feel like I'm about 13 projects behind schedule. So far, I've only finished the one hat. I haven't even started the mobile, but I think I'll dig through my store of fabric today and start cutting the pieces tonight.

• The baby is about 14 inches long and weighs just under 2 lbs.
